David watches the goings-on in the Chandler household, Tad steps up, and JR extracts a promise from Brooke!
At the police station, Liza informs Tad that Damon's mother is Hillary Wilson - his former love! She says she doesn't think Damon has a clue that his mother ever set foot in Pine Valley before. As Tad looks over at him, Damon tells Colby that Tad thinks he's playing everybody just to get off! As Liza takes Damon and Colby in to see the judge, Tad remains in shock. Opal appears, and he fills her in on the latest. Opal remembers how in love Tad was with Hillary - then asks about Damon's father. Tad tells her Hillary apparently remarried. Damon and Colby reappear, saying things went well with the judge. They talk about his situation, and Damon remarks that his father has totally given up on him, and his mother is just disappointed in him. Tad asks Opal if she has any vibes about how things are going with Liza, the D.A., and the judge. Opal shakes her head. Liza emerges and announces that Damon got community service, no jail time, but he has to have a guardian. Damon sighs, and Tad blurts, "I'll do it!" Liza thinks that's big of Tad, and asks if Opal agrees to it - she does. Damon is okay with it too. Jesse and Tad step aside and Tad tells him why he's stepping up for Damon. They discuss how Hillary came to him before her marriage to see if there was a spark between them. Jesse asks, "How long ago was that?"
In the hospital, JR tells Marissa that he loves his family and he's going to fight for them! He tells Marissa he wants to go home, but she says he might want to be able to lift his head off the pillow first. She says everything will be fine.
At the Chandler Mansion, David watches from his hiding spot as Annie goes upstairs, and Adam frantically searches for a heart pill. Brooke comes in and says he needs some rest - he can't fool her! Adam tells her to stop playing nursemaid. He points out that his family needs him - he's just forgotten to take one pill, and he'd take it, but he can't find them. Brooke finds them and gives him one. Adam says he's glad to have her back - she is taking Tempo off his hands, plus, she's just what this family needs! Adam goes upstairs, and Annie comes into the room with champagne - she and Brooke go head to head. Annie asks her to move into the Valley Inn - she and her husband need privacy! Brooke says she never meant to impose - she'll go. Brooke warns her to care for Adam - his health isn't good. Annie tersely says she knows what her husband's needs are, adding that Brooke is just upset that she can give Adam something she can't - she pulls down her top and exposes her bare shoulder! Brooke rolls her eyes and leaves. Annie calls Ryan to take Emma for the night. Adam walks into the room, and Annie tells him that Emma is going to her dad's, and she asked Brooke to move to a hotel. Adam is upset, and insists that Annie apologize to Brooke - she's his guest and can stay there as long as she likes. When Adam takes a drink of scotch, David watches and grins. Annie reappears and Adam insists they go set things right with Brooke. David comes out into the room when it's empty and eats some grapes. He hears a noise and runs with his hands full of fruit, and mouth full of grapes, back to his hiding spot!
Ryan is at Wildwind, where he is telling Greenlee that if she gives David up, he'll grant her wish and leaves her alone forever! Greenlee says she won't tell Ryan where David is - and thanks to him, she's already lost her husband! Ryan smirks that David is likely still in Pine Valley. Greenlee deems that to be nonsense - he's gone. Ryan asks how he got out of town. Greenlee says in a coffin. Ryan asks if he used the one he sleeps in. Ryan brings up Jackson - Greenlee scoffs that she should have known he wouldn't help her - she can't understand why he has to fight her about David! She rants about her life and ends up in Ryan's arms! She asks if this was part of his plan - he says he doesn't like to see her upset. Greenlee wants to figure out her life, and confronts Ryan about wanting to hurt David even if it hurts her too! Ryan won't apologize - he's glad she's free of him.
Greenlee is at Fusion telling Randi and Madison that it's time to deal with who is in charge once and for all. Randi shows her an idea for a photo shoot - it's the castle. Greenlee learns it was Erica's idea and snaps that she hates it! Randi walks off and Madison says Greenlee hates it because it reminds her of Ryan. Madison says Ryan has been pretty involved with Fusion. Greenlee coolly says Fusion wasn't the only thing Ryan helped Erica with, then reprimands Madison for trying to be chatty, telling her to get back to work. Madison does, but broaches the subject of Ryan again later. Greenlee rebuffs her again.
Ryan is with Jesse at ConFusion. He tells him all about his encounter with Greenlee and remarks that David must still be in town and will have to crawl out of his hole sooner or later.
Ryan arrives at the Chandler Mansion as Emma is explaining to Annie that she didn't eat the grapes and ruin her dinner! Ryan remarks on Emma wanting to see him and she says it was mommy's idea. Annie defensively explains that she wanted alone time with her husband! Annie says she only lied because he's critical, and she wanted to avoid drama. Ryan wonders why she's so concerned about her marriage? After Ryan and Emma leave, Annie tells Adam she is going upstairs to put on something more comfortable. Adam has a spell and realizes he took the wrong pill earlier! As he begins to experience severe heart pain, David stands over him and says, "Looks like you're a dead man, Adam!"
Brooke has gone back to the hospital and gives her cell number to Marissa outside JR's room. He hears them talking and calls for Brooke. She suits up in a gown and mask and goes in. JR thanks her for looking after his dad. Brooke tells him not to worry - just focus on getting stronger. She mentions that Annie asked her to move out to a hotel. JR curses her. He tells Brooke that Annie is trying to seduce Adam to give him a heart attack. When he becomes upset, Brooke steps out. She comes back and tells JR that Annie and Adam left her a message asking her to stay. JR makes her promise to move back to the Chandler Mansion - and to look after Adam!
