Michael Lowry did a fine job as OLTL's Ross, so why was he replaced with Billy Warlock when the character was written back onto the show for a limited run? "Nobody took someone's job," clarifies Warlock, adding that he's known Lowry for years, and has "mad respect for the guy." Turns out, Lowry was unavailable because he's going to law school. When the show learned he couldn't stay long enough to complete Ross's story arc, they summoned Warlock. "I literally got a call at like 3:30 in the afternoon saying, 'Do you want to do it and can you be here in an hour?'" laughs Warlock.
