Phyllis reveals the contents of the letter, Ashley is in denial, and Adam escapes!
In the cabin, Victor tells Adam that no one is coming to his rescue - he needs to tell the truth or they'll get it out of him by whatever means necessary. Jack says they know he set out to destroy Ashley's sanity either to get back at him or Victor, he hurt Rafe and Heather, he married Sharon to stick it to Nick, and now he won't tell them where their child is! One by one they all pronounce Adam to be guilty, except Sharon, who opts to abstain. She changes her mind, though, after admitting she believes he knows something about her baby. Billy grabs Adam from behind, and Nick rolls up his sleeves. Adam hollers that he can beat him to a pulp - it won't change anything! He tells Sharon she doesn't want to lose her. Sharon asks about the baby, and Adam says he was with Ashley - if Dr. Taylor did anything it was without his knowledge. Nick explodes, and Jack shouts that Adam was blackmailing Taylor! Adam protests that he'll find the baby himself if she's out there! Phyllis steps into the cabin and says, "You won't have to go far!"
Everyone in the cabin turns to Phyllis who explains about the letter left by Taylor to Mrs. Newman. Phyllis says she read it, and it was meant for Ashley. Adam accuses Phyllis of writing it herself, but she tells him to shut up - no one cares what he has to say anymore. Ashley takes the letter, reads it, and scrunches it up and tosses it on the floor, declaring it to be a complete lie! Victor gets the note and reads aloud that Ashley had a hysterical pregnancy and did not give birth. Adam protests that he delivered Ashley's baby, and Ashley agrees with Adam. Jack says they can't take his word for it. Phyllis points out that Dr. Taylor wrote the letter knowing he was dying. Adam pleads with Ashley that the two of them know she had a baby - they were there! Ashley shouts that they saw her pregnant - she would know if she'd miscarried. Victoria asks her if she fell or anything. Suddenly, Ashley recalls what happened and blurts that she fell down the stairs! She tells about thinking she saw Sabrina on the stairs. Ashley looks at Adam and says, "It wasn't Sabrina. It was you!"
Deflated, Ashley sits down in a chair in the cabin. She tells Adam that he was gaslighting her even before the night she fell down the stairs. Adam insists that she was hallucinating. Jack says he came out to the Ranch the night of the storm and Adam didn't want him to go upstairs! During the discussion, Victor realizes that Adam had the Ranch bugged, including his own room to cover his tracks. Ashley continues telling what happened, saying she heard Sabrina's voice. Adam says Estella used a recording of Sabrina's voice to frame him. Ashley glares at Adam and says she saw a figure in a purple dress and veil - it must have been him - that's when she fell. She woke up back in bed, and Adam told her the fall was a dream. Nikki wonders if Ashley had a miscarriage - then whose baby does she have? Sharon gasps, "Nick!" Everyone stands in stunned silence.
Jack is the first to speak in the cabin, and is about to say what everyone is thinking, but Ashley stops him. Billy is going to hit Adam but Victor asks him not to, saying he'll be taken care of. Phyllis steps outside with Victoria, and Sharon tells Nick that their baby is alive - just like Cassie predicted. Jack tries to comfort Ashley, but she says Faith is her child no matter what the letter says! Jack and Billy step aside and grimly discuss the implications of their niece being Nick and Sharon's child. Ashley begs Victor to make Adam says it's not true!
Outside the cabin, Victoria tells Phyllis that if Faith actually belongs to Nick and Sharon, it is going to be very difficult for Ashley and her father. Phyllis is clearly agitated, and Victoria reassures her that Nick loves her. Phyllis muses that she would leave, but Michael dropped her off. Vikki offers Phyllis her car - she thanks her.
Back in the cabin, Victor attacks Adam telling him to give them the truth. Nick pulls his father off Adam. Sharon approaches Ashley, who tells her she's glad she sees now how evil Adam really is, but warns her not to start thinking that Faith is her baby - she'll just get her heart broken again! Nikki and Victor discuss the situation. She tells him about her encounter with Ashley and Adam at the Ranch at that point in time, then says she's sorry if it turns out Ashley really miscarried. Victor muses that if it's true - he's lost two children!
Billy goes outside, and Victoria tells him she just loaned Phyllis her car. She asks what's going on in there - he says Adam is still trying to spin it. They are both concerned about what this might mean for Ashley if what they are thinking is true.
Phyllis is with Michael back at the tack house. They talk about the letter. She admits that she almost destroyed it - it took her some time to go in there and devastate Ashley and possibly destroy her own marriage. She says it was his words that stopped her from just getting rid of it - she thanks him for being a friend. He asks what happens now. She doesn't know. Michael says she can let things unfold and trust, or let the situation torpedo her relationship. Phyllis cries and admits that part of her was relieved when she thought that baby was dead. She was just glad she didn't have to see Nick and Sharon share another bond. Phyllis marvels that the digging she did on Adam uncovered her biggest nightmare. Summer calls out and Phyllis goes to her.
Assembled in the cabin, everyone listens as Victor announces there is nothing else that can be done tonight. Nikki offers for Sharon to stay with her and Victor - she accepts. Nick and Sharon agree that they need to talk - she says her head is spinning. Everyone leaves, with Nick stopping to tell Adam he hopes he burns in hell. Victor and Jack stay behind to deal with Adam.
Nick arrives home, and Phyllis bids Michael goodbye. Summer goes upstairs, and Nick says it must have been hard for her to deal with that letter. Phyllis nods, and says Summer will be happy to have a little sister. Nick feels they should say nothing until they're sure. He tells Phyllis he's going to call Nikki to take Summer overnight.
Ashley sits with Faith at home in a chair and says that even if she did fall down the stairs, it doesn't mean she lost the baby. Billy listens grimly.
At the cabin, Jack and Victor prepare to take Adam somewhere else, but Adam grabs the fireplace poker and says he's not going anywhere with them! He brandishes the poker at them as he makes his way out the door. He places a chair under the doorknob so they can't get out, and runs!
Back at the Ranch, Victoria looks up hysterical pregnancy on the laptop, and reads aloud to Sharon and Nikki. Sharon realizes that Faith really could be hers!
